We have seen numerous biopics in the recent past, some had outpouring drama while others had extreme patriotic melodrama. Amidst a range of unwanted and unasked biopics, Sardar Udham stands strong. This movie will remain one of its kind in terms of storytelling the way ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ did.

The movie started hitting fans after the release of the very first poster but somehow the critiques were ready to see the ready-made formula of a typical Bollywood patriotic film! Little did we know that this piece of art will drive people crazy with its breathtaking performances and exceptional writing and direction.

The thing which distinguishes this creation from others in the lane is its truthfulness which remained intact throughout the movie. Every action and scene seems so real that you will feel you are living it.

The director Shoojit Sircar showed how one can imbibe the feeling of oneness and patriotism without adding in an unwanted song or a dialogue.

This film gives that mixed feeling of proudness, helplessness, and rage. One cannot control their tears on watching the miserable conditions of their countrymen and can also take pride in the deeds of our Hero!

The use of typical British-toned English makes it even more real and believable. From the idea of the movie to its execution, everything remained raw and intact.

Vicky Kaushal set another benchmark for his exceptional breathtaking performance. He solely drove the movie so well that your eyes will remain glued to the screen to the time he finally dies bringing tears to your eyes. The pain the agony and that sense of nation love will keep your senses active. Vicky being Punjabi have added realism into the character of Udham, from every bleak and sleek.

Sardar Udham will remain on top for its realism as far as biopics are concerned and the direction as well. The exceptional acting by the cast gives it a feel of Hollywood. There is nothing jingoistic in the movie at all in the name of excessive patriotism. The ready to made bollywood patriotic movies will remain at bay after this one reaches its audience.
